How Is the Value of Your Car Determined?

Trade-In Solutions experienced vehicle appraisers follow specific inspection criteria when determining a vehicles value. Our appraisers are highly trained and experienced, looking at hundreds of cars each month. They stay abreast of market trends and utilize the latest valuation tools available such as Kelley Blue Book, NADA, Edmunds, and Black Book.

For each appraisal a written Appraisal Form is filled out listing all options and notating any special features. Any existing damage is identified and listed. Finally a short test-drive will be conducted to determine overall mechanical condition and functionality.

There are several factors that are considered when making a value determination. Some of them are:

  • The vehicles year, make, and model
  • Mileage
  • Factory installed options
  • Color
  • Interior and exterior condition
  • Any previous damage and/or repairs including items noted on the vehicle’s CARFAX Report

At the end of this process the appraiser will review and explain all of the information and data used to determine you vehicle’s value. Then a fair and honest offer to purchase your vehicle will be made.
